Bio- Sketch of Dr. S.R. Singh, Dy. Director, CCS NIAM & Chairperson, Centre for Monitoring and Evaluation and Centre for ICT and E-NAM.

Dr. S.R. Singh has completed his Graduation in Agriculture and Post-Graduation in Agricultural Extension from Meerut University, Meerut in 1988 and 1990 respectively. After completion of education, He joined FFDC Kannauj in August, 1993, An Autonomous Body under the aegis of Ministry of MSME, GoI, as Extension Officer (Agronomy) and Head of the Division of Agro-Technology and Extension Services and served the organization till 2005 in a different capacity. He handled the responsibility of cultivation, distillation, processing, training and capacity building, organizing seminar symposia and extension of aroma bearing crops. Dr. Singh was awarded UNDP fellowship for higher study of aroma bearing crops under which he visited YFFRDC, Kunming, P.R. China to complete the assignment in 1995. Dr. Singh completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension in 2001 from Kanpur University, Kanpur. He has long experience in training, capacity building, literature development and extension of aroma bearing crops. In 2005, Dr. Singh has got an opportunity to become a part of National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), Jaipur, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India. He is shouldering the responsibility of training, research, consultancy, education, policy advocacy in the field of agricultural marketing and skill.

Training Programs: Dr. Singh has organized more than 300 training and capacity building programs on different aspects of agricultural marketing and aroma bearing crops in the country.

Accredited Master Trainer: Dr. Singh is accredited Master Trainer trained by the USDA and Skill Council of India in the field of Agricultural Marketing and Marketing Information and skill development programs.

Technical Bulletins and Books: Prepared 10 technical bulletins on extension and capacity building purpose for aromatic crops in Hindi and English language.

Research Papers: Dr. Singh has credited 34 research papers on different aspects of medicinal and aromatic plants and agricultural marketing published in journals of repute.

Project Reports Prepared: Dr. Singh has prepared 16 project reports for the benefit of growers and industry on the agricultural aspects.

Book Chapters: 2 Book chapters are in his credit, in the Handbook of Evidence Based Management Practice in Business published by Routledge, 4th Park Square, Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxon OX144RN.Pg 376-382.

Article Published: 11 Articles of importance were published in various magazines and Newspapers.

Training Manual: He has developed training manuals for training and extension purpose on different topics for the benefit of stakeholders.

Serve as Director: Considering his vast and versatile experience,Dr. Singh had given the chance to serve as Director, Marketing and Public Cooperation in CAPART in the Ministry of Rural Development, where he had handled several delegations for showcasing the rural crafts developed by rural artisans.

Seminars/Symposia/Conferences: Attended and organized more than 50 events in this category for the benefit of stakeholders and self-improvement.

Consultancy Projects: Dr. Singh had completed more than 30 assignments of consultancy projects of different nature.

International Exposure: Dr. Singh has international exposure for completing different assignments on medicinal and aromatic plants, agricultural marketing, rural development and visited various countries like:

• Laos and

• Thailand

Presently, Dr. Singh extending his services to the CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing as Deputy Director, Marketing and Skills.
