Dr. Amit Tuteja is the Founder and Executive Director of Connecting Dreams Foundation (CDF), where he leads initiatives aimed at empowering youth and nurturing them to be changemakers. Before transitioning to social entrepreneurship, Dr. Tuteja worked as a Research Scientist at The Centre for Genomic Applications, specializing in biotechnology and DNA diagnostics.

Since founding the Connecting Dreams Foundation in 2012, Dr. Tuteja has developed a systemic approach to change-making, bridging the gap between aspirations and action through innovative programs aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over the past decade, Connecting Dreams Foundation has empowered more than 24,000 changemakers across 35 countries, nurturing community-driven solutions to address pressing societal challenges

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Tuteja spearheaded the India Co-Win Action Network (ICAN), which mobilized over 4,000 volunteers and 3,500 NGOs to reach more than 400,000 individuals across 25 states. This initiative exemplified his focus on leveraging collaborative action for scalable community impact.

In his capacity as National Coordinator for the Civil 20 (C20) engagement group under India’s G20 Presidency, Dr. Tuteja facilitated global dialogue on Social justice and youth empowerment, culminating in the Changemaker20 Summit. His leadership was further recognized in 2024 when he was selected as an IVLP Fellow by the U.S. Department of State under the International Visitor Leadership Program.

Currently, Dr. Tuteja is focused on expanding CDF’s impact globally, collaborating with youth, educators, and communities to build a network of everyday changemakers. Through his roles as a TEDx speaker, author, and mentor, he continues to inspire individuals to redefine possibilities and build a more equitable, sustainable world.
