Tax Benefit to Farmer Producer companies- DG, NIAM Pursues the matter for benefit of FPO

Union Budget has proposed 100 percent deduction to companies registered as Farmer Producer Companies with an annual turnover upto Rs. 100 crore on profit derived from such activities, for a period of five years from financial year 2018-19. (PIB)

Dr Irina Garg, Director General of NIAM has pursued the matter of seeking relief for FPO of deduction of income under section 80P of Income tax Act of producer companies registered under Par IX A of the companies Act since 5.1.2016

A detail note was prepared by Director General and sent to Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Ministry of Finance
